About

After 28 years of working in the Information Technology (IT) field, it was time to take everything I've learned and put them together with my creative interests. Whether it be writing, photography, audio editing or graphic design, I want to utilize these to create something that helps others.

Interestingly, I was doing aspects of graphic design all through my IT career. Whether it was designing forms, spreadsheets, slideshow presentations, SharePoint sites, or application screen layouts, they were all a part of creative graphic design. But now, I want to focus on the creative design work.

My IT career taught me some valuable skills such as defining process flows, configuring spreadsheets, managing projects and working with databases. Most importantly, it taught me how to work with others, both directly and as a team. Together, these form the basis of the services I can provide you.

I am very much a team player and will work with you to achieve your print and/or web design needs. I can help you get started if starting out fresh, or can update if you already have something established.

For designing I work with the Adobe suite of products, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am also broadening my knowledge with the Affinity equivalent software, Photo, Designer and Publisher.

For designing websites I primarily work with Rapidweaver but am also familiar with Wordpress, Wix and Squarespace.

After starting Asao Media originally as a small recording studio, I can also provide some audio work as well. View my Audio page for more details.
